Finestra Fine Artist - Mike Sidney
In 2009, Mike won honors with his work from the prestigious Maui Photo Festival. His award was a complimentary registration to the WPPI Convention. In 2010 he was chosen to teach at the Maui Photo Festival, and he realized that he had progressed from being the pupil to being the teacher. His success has continued since and in February 2011 he was featured as the cover story in WPPI Magazine.
These events have ignited his new passion for teaching and sharing photography. He hopes a future rich in teaching experiences will, “make a positive difference for many practicing photographers, and force me to continue to evolve.”
Finally among Mike’s treasury of success secrets is following his “proactive take” on the Golden Rule: “Enrich the lives of others and your own life will be enriched.” This karmic attitude allows him to embrace his clients from his initial meeting, throughout their session and into his presentation. Even after their presentations, Mike maintains his relationship with clients, transforming them into friends. “I love being able to make a difference in peoples’ lives. I love how every session, like every person, is totally unique and to some degree, unpredictable. I like seeing the emotion in my clients’ faces as they relive their experiences and feelings during our viewings.”
